Beckford scores winner as Leeds beat Man Utd 1-0 |
We meet our fierce rivals Leeds for the first time since they knocked us out of the FA Cup in the third round back in January 2010.
We'll surely look for revenge but Leeds will want to try their best to get yet another one over on us.
The squad has been announced and it is a mixture of squad players with some youngsters.
Provisional squad: Lindegaard, Amos, Fabio, Jones, Evans, Giggs, Park, Carrick, Fletcher, Valencia, Owen, Berbatov, Macheda, Diouf, Pogba, W Keane, James, Brown, M.Keane, Thorpe, Fryers.
There are quite a few question marks as to who will start. Lindegaard will most likely be between the posts after an impressive performance last week in Portugal against Benfica.
We're running out of players in defence so I can see Valencia again playing right back after finishing there during Sundays game against Chelsea. Jones will most likely partner Evans in the middle with Fabio left back.
The midfield is a tricky one, Sir Alex today mentioned a possible debut for Paul Pogba whilst Carrick, Fletcher, Giggs and Park will all be eyeing start spots.
Up front I think Berbatov and Owen will get their first starts this season with Macheda and Diouf missing out but possible bench spots for them both. Will Keane is a youngster who has been scoring for fun in the U18's/reserves last couple years so it will be interesting to see if he will make the bench at least.
